College GameDay announces Week 5 location
College GameDay is returning to B1G country.
On Saturday night, the popular ESPN pre-game show announced that it will be hauling its set to State College for next Saturday’s marquee matchup between No. 4 Ohio State and No. 10 Penn State.
This will mark the third time in three weeks GameDay is covering a B1G contest, and it’ll be the second game involving the Buckeyes. In Week 1, the pre-game show was in South Bend for Michigan-Notre Dame.
In Week 3, GameDay was in Texas for the clash between TCU and Ohio State.

The College GameDay crew was also in Columbus for last year’s matchup between Penn State and Ohio State. The Buckeyes ended up winning that game in thrilling fashion.
The winner of this matchup has gone on to win the B1G title each of the last two seasons. Penn State won in 2016 and the Buckeyes took last year’s head-to-head game.
Neither of those teams reached the College Football Playoff.
There will be plenty on the line again this year. Both the Nittany Lions and the Buckeyes enter the game 4-0 on the season with a 1-0 record in B1G play.
