Cornell transfer playing multiple positions at practice, says Penn State assistant
Hunter Nourzad committed to Penn State in May of 2021 after transferring from Cornell. OL coach Phil Trautwein is experimenting with his position according to The Athletic’s Audrey Snyder.
Trautwein said that Nourzad has split time at multiple positions for the Nittany Lions recently. The former Cornell O-lineman has played right guard, center, and left guard for them so far at practice. Trautwein has loved coaching him so far.
“He’s willing to learn, willing to do whatever I ask him to do,” said Trautwein. “It’s great to have him in the room.”

It’ll be interesting to see how Penn State ends up using Nourzad. In his last season with the Big Red, he earned 2nd-team AFCA, 3rd-team Phil Steele All-America, and 1st-team All Ivy League honors.
