Micah Parsons has quickly become a fan favorite in the Lone Star State. After a stellar rookie year in the NFL, the former Penn State star is getting plenty of love.

Parsons was asked to throw out the ceremonial first pitch during the Texas Rangers’ Tuesday night clash against the Los Angeles Angels. So he traded in the helmet and shoulder pads for a spot on the mound.

The rookie linebacker had no trouble finding the plate with his pitch, either.

Parsons was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021 and also earned PFWA All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. Not a bad season for the first-round selection out of Penn State.

Parsons racked up 84 total tackles with 13 sacks, 3 passes defended and 3 forced fumbles. It didn’t take long for his talent at Penn State to translate to the next level.

After a stellar first season with the Cowboys, there are high expectations for Parsons as he enters Year 2.
