Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker Micah Parsons has an opportunity to join elite company on Sunday when he takes the field against the New York Giants.

Per ESPN Stats and Info, Parsons has registered at least 1 sack in each of the last 6 games. If the rookie and former Penn State star notches one on Sunday against Sunday, it will mark a seventh consecutive game, making it just the second time a first-year player has accomplished that feat in nearly 40 years.

In 1999, Jevon Kearse hit that mark as a rookie with the Tennessee Titans.

Parsons has had an outstanding rookie campaign in Dallas. He’s notched 57 tackles with 12 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. In last week’s win over Washington, he had 3 tackles and 2 sacks.

After such a tremendous year, Parsons will be in the mix for multiple rookie awards when the 2021 campaign comes to a close. He’s certainly lived up to his status as a first-round pick.

Dallas will take on New York at 1 p.m. ET with the game airing on FOX.
