Drew Allar has started out on fire in 2 two straight weeks.

In Week 1, Allar led the Nittany Lions to a dominant win over West Virginia. Now, in Week 2, the team is facing Bowling Green, and Allar is picking up where he left off.

On the Nittany Lions’ first offensive possession, Allar completed 2-of-2 passes for 27 yards. The QB would find the end zone on a 5-yard run, giving the Nittany Lions their first points of the game off a beautiful read option.

It was an option play that Allar read perfectly. Upon deciding to keep the ball, Allar easily got into the end zone without being touched. That score tied things up as Bowling Green surprisingly started off the scoring on Saturday.

Bowling Green’s Connor Bazelak marched the team down the field on their first drive and capped it up with a 6-yard TD. He continues to have the Falcon offense running smoothly in a surprising start to the game.

Allar should be expected to have a big game against the Falcons. Against the Mountaineers in Week 1, Allar threw for 216 yards with 3 TDs. The talented QB also ran 6 times for 44 yards en route to a 34-12 win.

The Nittany Lions were favored by a whopping 35.3 points heading into this game, so it would be a shock if the Falcons manage to keep it close. For now, Bowling Green is making life difficult for Penn State in Week 2.
