Drew Hartlaub is trying to boost his stock enough for a shot at the NFL. During Penn State’s Pro Day, he put his elite speed on display for teams in attendance.

During the workouts, Hartlaub ran a mark of 4.22 on the 40-yard dash. It is worth noting that was the time provided by Penn State and could have some wiggle room compared to final results from the NFL Combine. Still, there’s no denying Hartlaub’s speed is for real and could help him land a job.

Hartlaub did indicate after the workouts that he has heard from some NFL teams about a potential special teams role at the next level, per Justin Morganstein with Rivals.

Punter Jordan Stout has also been campaigning for Hartlaub along the way:

Hartlaub finished the 2021 season as a key performer as a gunner and blocker on special teams. He finished his career with 16 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries.
