Penn State’s 2022 recruiting class now has a quarterback commit.

Monday, the Nittany Lions received a verbal pledge from 3-star, in-state quarterback Beau Pribula. He’s now the third player in the 2022 recruiting class to commit to Penn State, all of which have come in the last two weeks.

Pribula is listed as a 6-foot-2, 195-pound dual-threat quarterback out of York, Pennsylvania. He had received over a dozen offers on the recruiting front, picking Penn State over Nebraska, Northwestern, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia and others.

The announcement from Pribula came in a video posted on Twitter.

According to 247Sports, Pribula ranks as the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class and is currently listed as the No. 11 prospect out of Pennsylvania. He does not have any overall rankings at this time.

Pribula is a two-sport athlete at Central York High School, also playing basketball. Last season on the field, Pribula threw for 1,244 yards and 8 touchdowns, while adding 365 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

He led his team to a 9-2 record as a sophomore quarterback.

Penn State’s 2022 recruiting class currently ranks second in the B1G, behind only Ohio State.
