If Ohio State Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George had his way as a youngster, he would have been scoring touchdowns for Penn State instead of the Buckeyes. Of course, that didn’t happen due to the Nittany Lions misevaluating the bruising back coming out of high school. That miscalculation turned out to be Ohio State’s gain.

Of course, Penn State’s desire to move George to linebacker may have only fueled his fire more during his playing career in Columbus and led to his success as a Buckeye and later in the NFL.
