Penn State received some major news on the recruiting front on Monday.

Just two days prior to the Early Signing Period, the Nittany Lions locked up a commitment from elite, 4-star defensive end Adisa Isaac, ranked as one of the top 100 players in the 2019 class. He gave his commitment Monday.

Isaac had 30 offers according to 247Sports.

Isaac, a Brooklyn, New York native, is ranked as the top player from his home state and is the No. 4 defensive end of the 2019 recruiting cycle. Overall, he’s listed as the 79th-best player in the class.

He is the third-highest rated commit to join Penn State’s class, behind LB Brandon Smith and OG Caedan Wallace.

With Isaac’s commitment, Penn State jumped to No. 12 in the national recruiting rankings and remains No. 3 in the B1G, behind Michigan (No. 1) and Ohio State (No. 2).

James Franklin is certainly putting together a special class in Happy Valley.
