One ESPN analyst apparently believes the Nittany Lions could make a play for a transfer QB out of the SEC.

When asked about T.J. Finley, a transfer quarterback out of LSU, ESPN and SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic listed Penn State as a destination to keep an eye on. Cubelic also listed Texas and Auburn as potential landing spots for Finley.

Landing Finley would definitely be an interesting get for James Franklin and company. Finley appeared in five games for the Tigers as a true freshman in 2020, completing 80 of 140 passes for 941 yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions.

In wins over South Carolina and Arkansas, Finley threw for more than 250 yards and two touchdowns. During losses to Texas A&M, Auburn, and Alabama, Finley threw for just one touchdown against four interceptions.

Listed at 6-foot-6, Finley has great size for the position and is an intriguing prospect moving forward. He was a three-star recruit out of high school and the No. 19 pro-style QB for the 2020 cycle.
