ESPN’s SP+ has rolled out projections across the board in bowl season, including Penn State heading to Atlanta as favorites in the Peach Bowl.

Both programs are heading into the game with the majority of their rosters intact. Penn State has had a few notable opt-pouts, including star pass rusher Chop Robinson, but most of the roster will be in action with Drew Allar, Theo Johnson and Kalen King included.

According to the SP+, Penn State is the favorite with a 72% chance of winning vs. Ole Miss. The projected final score of the Peach Bowl is also 30-20 in favor of the Nittany Lions. Penn State is currently a 3.5-point favorite, and fans can head to ESPN Bet to get in on the action.

The game shapes up as an intriguing top-15 battle, and Ole Miss should be a quality opponent. Lane Kiffin’s team went 10-2 overall with their only losses coming to Alabama and Georgia during the regular season.

For Penn State, James Franklin will be hoping the key matchup provides a nice jumping-off point for the team heading into 2024. With new coordinators on staff and a number of key players back, the Nittany Lions will look to carve out a spot in the expanded 12-team Playoff.
