ESPN's Todd McShay claims Saquon Barkley is the best RB since Adrian Peterson
People continually try, but there aren’t many players that Penn State’s Saquon Barkley can be compared to. His unique skill-set and athletic ability is a one-of-a-kind type of talent.
But ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay thinks he’s found a comparison, at least when it comes to running backs.
“I think Saquon is the most complete since probably Adrian Peterson,” McShay said.
That’s a pretty great comparison for Barkley, considering how dominant Peterson’s NFL career has been. Just guessing, but the Penn State ball-carrier probably doesn’t have any issue being compared with an all-time great.
So far, Barkley has racked up 1,218 all-purpose yards and has scored seven touchdowns on the season. He’s currently the favorite to take home the Heisman Trophy at the end of the season.
