Lance Dixon is leaving Happy Valley, and he announced his next destination on Twitter Thursday morning.

Dixon initially joined Penn State as a member of the 2019 recruiting class. Rated as a four-star linebacker and the No. 9 OLB nationally by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Dixon saw limited action as a freshman in 2019.

Entering 2020, Dixon got off to a strong start with the Nittany Lions, recording five total tackles and a forced fumble in the loss to Ohio State. He followed that up with two tackles and half a tackle for loss against Nebraska but was unable to post multiple tackles in another game the rest of the way.

In his post on Twitter, Dixon indicated he will be joining the Big 12 by transferring to West Virginia:

Dixon finished his time at Penn State with 13 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. Best of luck to him as he moves onto his next destination.
