Fatorma Mulbah is heading to West Virginia as a transfer.

Mulbah, who was with Penn State since 2020, announced his decision to transfer to West Virginia on Thursday. Last week, Mulbah entered the transfer portal and found a new college football home in 1 week.

While at Penn State, Mulbah was a backup defensive tackle for the Nittany Lions. He decided to enter the transfer portal after Penn State’s Rose Bowl win over Utah on Jan. 2.

When he joined Penn State in 2020, he redshirted as a true freshman during that season. Mulbah saw his first in-game action during the 2021 season when he played in 6 games. In 2021, Mulbah recorded 4 total tackles across the season.

For the 2022 season, Mulbah’s role was reduced primarily to a special teams role. Mulbah, who is from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, stayed in Pennsylvania for college. For his high school recruiting, Mulbah chose Penn State over Army, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Connecticut, Navy, and Toledo. According to 247Sports’ Composite rankings, Mulbah was a 3-star recruit and the No. 6 recruit in Pennsylvania’s 2020 recruiting class.

He will be joining a West Virginia team that posted a 5-7 record in 2022. Mulbah will hope to have an expanded role in West Virginia’s defense.

He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining in college football.
