Former Nittany Lions re-live Penn State’s thrilling finish to beat Iowa in 2017

The 2017 matchup between Penn State and Iowa was one of the best contests in the B1G of the decade. It had all the makings for an instant classic.

A primetime contest from Kinnick Stadium provided an electric atmosphere as two of the best teams in the conference went toe-to-toe. Running backs Saquon Barkley and Akrum Wadley were virtually unstoppable most of the night. And to close out the back-and-forth game, the Nittany Lions scored on the final play of the game to secure the victory.

With a little extra time on their hands right now, a few former Nittany Lions who participated in that game re-lived those final moments from Iowa City. A pass from Trace McSorley to Juwan Johnson helped Penn State clinch a 21-19 victory over the Hawkeyes early in the year to keep their B1G title hopes alive.
