A former Penn State staffer has found a new home. Virginia Tech officially announced on Dec. 22 that the Hokies have hired Dwight Galt IV to be their Director of Strength and Conditioning.

Galt spent 7 seasons at Penn State as an assistant director of strength and conditioning. He spent the last 2 years working at Old Dominion with ex-Penn State OC Ricky Rahne who is the head coach of the Monarchs.

Galt has worked alongside some prominent players, such as Saquon Barkley, Mike Gesicki, Stephon Gilmore, and Jadeveon Clowney.

Penn State finished the regular season with a 7-5 overall record. The Nittany Lions were fourth place in the B1G East. Penn State began the season 5-0 and then lost five of its last seven games.

The Nittany Lions will conclude the season with a Jan. 1 matchup vs. No. 21 Arkansas in the Outback Bowl.
