Former Penn State DB Amani Oruwariye was reportedly involved in a scary injury scene during Wednesday’s practices.

A current member of the New York Giants practice squad, Oruwariye reportedly went down during kickoff practice drills. Multiple reporters indicated Oruwariye was loaded onto a backboard and carted off the field after his injury.

Those on the scene for the practice reported that Oruwariye was moving his arms and hands slowly but also noted the medical team was extremely careful while moving the defensive back.

Oruwariye is in his first season with the Giants after playing his first 4 NFL seasons for the Detroit Lions. He is just 2 seasons removed from a season with 6 interceptions and 11 pass breakups but had just 3 pass breakups and 0 interceptions during 2022.
