Former Penn State linebacker Manny Bowen is leaving the B1G for the Pac-12.

On Wednesday morning, the ex-Nittany Lion tweeted out that he’ll be headed to the University of Utah for his final season of eligibility. Bowen left the team prior to the start of the 2018 campaign.

“I will be playing my final season of college football for the University of Utah,” Bowen wrote on Twitter. “I am more than excited for the opportunities that have come my way. Nothing left to say, let’s get after it.”

Bowen played for Penn State for three seasons but his time in Happy Valley from 2017 through 2018 didn’t end well.

After playing in the first nine games of the season, Bowen was suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. He missed the final three regular season games and didn’t make the trip for Penn State’s Fiesta Bowl appearance.

Bowen rejoined the team in summer camp, but opted to leave a few weeks later. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

In three seasons with the Nittany Lions, Bowen registered 137 tackles, 12.5 stops for loss and 3.5 sacks. He appeared in 35 career games with Penn State.
