Former Penn State offensive lineman Adam Gress has died after reportedly falling and hitting his head on Thursday. He was 26.

Multiple former teammates and the official Twitter account of Penn State Football sent out condolences through social media following the news of the accident. Details regarding Gress’ death are still unclear.

Gress was a member of Penn State’s football program from 2009 through 2013. At 6-foot-7, 320-pound lineman was known for his massive size and physical stature on the football field. He was a starter on the Nittany Lions’ offensive line in 2013 as a fifth-year senior.

He signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants as a rookie but did not make the team’s roster for the regular season.

According to 247Sports, Gress graduated from Penn State with degrees in telecommunications and journalism. He was working as a construction site manager at the time of his passing.
