Former Penn State offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski is retiring from the NFL after 10 years to become a pastor.

Wisniewski made the announcement via his Twitter:

Wisniewski was an AFCA All-American (2010) and two-time First Team All-Big Ten (2009, 2010) during his career at Penn State. Wisniewski was the first Penn State Football student athlete to be selected as an ESPN Academic All-American three times.

Wisniewski was drafted by the then-Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Wisniewski’s uncle Steve Wisniewski was an 8-time Pro Bowl guard for the Raiders.

Wisniewski played for the Raiders, Jaguars, Eagles, Chiefs, and Steelers during his decade in the pros. Wisniewski captured two Super Bowl titles, one with the Eagles and the other with the Chiefs.

Wisniewski appeared in 139 games and made 106 starts in the NFL.

Penn State kicks off the season with a road matchup at Wisconsin on Sept. 4 (12 p.m. EST/FOX).
