Former Penn State QB joins Ricky Rahne's staff at Old Dominion
A former Penn State quarterback will begin his coaching career at Old Dominion.
On Wednesday, Michael Shuster announced that he has joined former Penn State offensive coordinator and new Old Dominion head coach Ricky Rahne’s staff. The former backup gunslinger will be a graduate assistant with the Monarchs.
“I’m very excited to announce I have accepted an offensive graduate assistant position at Old Dominion University!” Shuster wrote on Twitter. “Looking forward to working with this great staff and being able to coach this talented group of kids.”

Shuster was a member of Penn State’s football team from 2016 through 2019. According to his bio on GoPSUSports.com. Shuster appeared in two games during his four seasons with the Nittany Lions.
The graduate assistant position at Old Dominion will be his first time in a coaching role. Per his Twitter bio, Shuster will be helping the offense and quarterbacks.
