Former Penn State QB Trace McSorley makes Baltimore Ravens 53-man roster
Trace McSorley made the cut. The Baltimore Ravens placed the ex-Penn State signal caller on their 53-man roster Saturday, as McSorley avoided becoming one of the final preseason cuts this weekend.
He is expected to serve as the Ravens third-string quarterback behind starter Lamar Jackson and backup Robert Griffin III.

The Ravens, who have been saying they will unveil a lot of new wrinkles in their offense with Jackson starting from Week 1 this season, drafted McSorley in the sixth round this past spring. He went 51 of 90 for 553 passing yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions during the preseason. McSorley also improved as the preseason continued, throwing for three scores and no picks in the final two preseason contests.
The popular Penn State signal caller started three years for the Nittany Lions, throwing for nearly 10,000 yards during his college career. Last year, McSorley posted 2,530 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
