Former Penn State standout receiver K.J. Hamler is entering Year 2 with the Denver Broncos, and he’s off to a good start.
Hamler caught an 80-yard bomb from Drew Lock during the team’s first preseason game on Saturday afternoon and took it to the house.

Last season, Hamler caught 30 passes for 381 yards and 3 touchdowns. One of those scores came as time was expiring vs. the Los Angeles Chargers and clinched a win for Denver.
This season, the Broncos offense is hoping to be more potent, and Hamler is a big part of that. Denver also has weapons such as Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and former Iowa tight end Noah Fant.
Hamler ended the first quarter with 2 catchers for 105 yards. He also had one 5-yard rush in the first quarter.
Denver opens its regular season on Sept. 12 vs. the New York Giants.
