Former USC WR Kyron Hudson announces transfer commitment to Penn State
Former USC wide receiver Kyron Hudson has announced his transfer portal destination. The WR is staying in the same conference, leaving Los Angeles for Happy Valley.
Hudson was 3rd on the Trojans in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in 2024. The wideout caught 38 passes for 462 yards and 3 touchdowns. Hudson posted an edited picture of himself in Penn State gear with the hands making a heart emoji.

Hudson entered the portal on Dec. 5 after the Trojans ended the regular season with a 6-6 record. So far, the Trojans have seen a whopping 16 players enter the portal.
In high school, Hudson was rated as a 4-star prospect. The 247Sports Composite ranking had Hudson as the No. 22 WR and the No. 11 prospect out of California in the 2021 class. Hudson committed to USC and would go on to catch 57 passes for 655 yards and 5 TDs in parts of 3 seasons with the Trojans.
Now, the receiving will join a Nittany Lion offense that can use more receiving talent. Tyler Warren, a tight end, was by far the leading receiver for the Nittany Lions in 2024, catching 88 passes for 1,062 yards and 6 TDs. Trey Wallace was the leading WR on the team with 39 catches for 638 yards.
The Nittany Lions are in the College Football Playoff for the first time in 2024. The team is playing against SMU on Saturday in the opening round of the Playoff.
So far, Hudson is the first portal addition for the Nittany Lions. The team has seen 4 players, including backup QB Beau Pribula, join the portal so far.
