Franco Harris will be honored by Penn State players and coaches during Monday’s Rose Bowl appearance.

Harris had a strong career during his time with the Nittany Lions before turning into a Hall of Fame player with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He still leads the Steelers in a number of all-time categories and recently passed away ahead of the Christmas holiday.

In their arrival for Monday’s game with Utah, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions donned No. 34 jerseys — Harris’ number — to honor his legacy. It’s a cool tribute to the man responsible for the “immaculate reception” while with the Steelers.

Penn State will also honor Harris’ legacy with a helmet decal for the Rose Bowl. A blue circle with the initials “FH” in white will be worn on the back of the helmets in Pasadena.
