Franco Harris tribute: Pittsburgh Steelers players honor late RB, show up in No. 32 jerseys for Christmas Eve game

Franco Harris will be honored on Christmas Eve by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A longtime member of the franchise and Hall of Fame running back, Harris passed away this week. Harris’ passing came just days shy of the 50th anniversary of his “immaculate reception” play and jersey retirement by the Steelers.
The Steelers will still retire Harris’ No. 32 at halftime against the Las Vegas Raiders, but that ceremony has taken on an entirely different light as a celebration of Harris’ life and impact. Current members of the team are also honoring Harris Saturday evening.
On their arrival at the stadium, the Steelers are sporting No. 32 Harris jerseys to honor the late RB. Minkah Fitzpatrick, TJ Watt and Kenny Pickett are just some of the stars featured arriving in a No. 32 jersey for Saturday’s game.

A Penn State product, Harris is still the Steelers’ all-time leader in rushing yards (11,950) and rushing touchdowns (91). Saturday’s game will certainly be an emotional one for everyone involved in Pittsburgh.
