Not only that, but he was a major priority for James Franklin’s staff thanks to his status as an in-state recruit. He attends Steelton-Highspire High School and hails from Harrisburg, Penn.
Five of Penn State’s eight commitments in 2022 are from the state of Pennsylvania.
Penn State’s 2022 recruiting class is off to an unbelievable start. The Nittany Lions now have eight 4-star prospects committed for 2022 and now have the nation’s No. 2 recruiting class, trailing only Ohio State.
That’s excellent news for a Penn State program that struggled mightily at times in 2020. PSU lost its first five games of the season, but did rally with a four-game winning streak to end the year.
Flowers is now the crown jewel of the class, as he’s currently the highest-rated player that’s onboard as of now. He picked the Nittany Lions over offers from Arizona State, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Howard, Kentucky and Nebraska, amongst others.
