was a foregone conclusion a month ago that Penn State’s season was over. Now, the Nittany Lions are playing well, winning games and could be on the verge of a bowl berth.

At 3-5, it has been far from an ideal season for Penn State and head coach James Franklin. A win this past Saturday against Michigan State now gives some momentum to a team has won three straight games.

They host 2-5 Illinois on Saturday during the Big Ten’s Champions Week.

Franklin spoke on Tuesday, touching upon the importance of the game as well as his senior class.
