Penn State has put in work on the recruiting trail, adding two impressive defensive line prospects on July 4.

The latest commitment comes from Tyreese Fearbry, a four-star edge rusher out of Pittsburgh. His announcement is a bit bigger due to the fact that he picked the Nittany Lions over in-state rival Pittsburgh, along with Kentucky and Auburn.
According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Fearbry is the No. 8 prospect out of Pennsylvania for the class of 2022. He is also the No. 12 edge rusher and the No. 253 overall prospect nationally.

The addition of Fearbry is Penn State’s second four-star commit for the day. Earlier Sunday, four-star defensive lineman Zane Durant out of Florida committed to the Nittany Lions.

Those two commitments bring Penn State’s 2022 class up to 16 total commits. The Nittany Lions are holding strong as a top-10 class nationally for the cycle and the second-strongest class in the B1G. Penn State now has nine four-star commits for 2022.
