Jamari Buddin came to Penn State as a member of the 2021 recruiting class. Now, he’s on the move via the transfer portal following the 2022 season.

On Wednesday, Buddin announced New Mexico State as his next destination with a statement on social media:

“Thank you to all the coaches who have reached out and gave me another opportunity to pursue my dream,” wrote Buddin. “It has been a long and stressful process and I have spent a lot of time thinking about what’s best for my future but after much prayer, I have decided to further my academic and athletic career at New Mexico State University.”

Buddin originally arrived at Penn State as a 4-star prospect and the No. 40 LB recruit in the country out of Belleville, Michigan. Unfortunately, things did not pan out with Buddin posting 12 total tackles in 2 seasons for the Nittany Lions.

Best of luck to Buddin as he makes his move.
