James Franklin has to prepare for one of his team’s toughest challenges yet. Chop Robinson practicing was a good sign on Wednesday.

Robinson has been out with a undisclosed injury and missed the Minnesota game. He practiced on Wednesday, however.

Franklin talked about how disruptive Robinson can be on defense, adding that he can be very helpful at stopping the run as well.

“That would be valuable,” said Franklin. “He’s also been disruptive against the run. We hope to have him.”

Robinson could a nice addition to the Penn State defense if he plays. Penn State will need every one locked in if it wants to break the losing streak to Ohio State. The Nittany Lions have not beaten the Buckeyes since 2016.

Penn State is allowing 140.3 yards rushing per game on defense. Its best stat on that side of the ball has been opposing points allowed. The defense is letting up just 18.9 points every game.

We’ll see if Franklin updates Robinson’s status any further before kickoff.
