James Franklin spoke about some injuries that are plaguing Penn State after Wednesday’s practice. The offensive line and tight ends have some injury problems right now.
Olu Fashanu, Landon Tengwall, and Keyvone Lee were the players who missed practice. Franklin noted that the offensive line is injured at the moment.
“Obviously we’ve got some bumps and bruises across the offensive line,” Franklin said.
“Obviously we’ve got some bumps and bruises across the offensive line,” Franklin said.
My thought in this was if Fashanu couldn’t go they’d probably like to put Tengwall at LT, but if he can’t go… gets a little complicated.

Tengwall was most likely going to be Fashanu’s replacement at tackle. However, if Tengwall isn’t able to play against Indiana that makes things a lot more complicated.
There was no update available for either Fashanu or Tengwall. This should be good news since Franklin probably would have made an announcement if the injury was severe enough.
James Franklin with no update on that meeting with Sean Clifford.
No update on Landon Tengwall. So, if it was season-ending Franklin likely would’ve said it there.
Any update on Olu Fashanu? “No”

Franklin also spoke about TE Jerry Cross. Cross suffered an injury this summer and Franklin is hoping to get him some more reps towards the end of the season. Cross was a 4-star recruit from the 2022 class.
Freshman TE Jerry Cross was hurt in the summer, Franklin said. “Him and Zane Durant are like inseparable.”
Franklin said ideally at the end of this season they’d like to get Cross some reps if they can.
