James Franklin suffered a loss at home to Ohio State in Week 9. He was asked about gap between Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State.

Franklin lost to Michigan earlier in the year and is now 0-2 against currently ranked B1G teams this season. The Nittany Lions could not get out of their own way in the 44-31 loss to the Buckeyes.

Franklin noted that the team made too many mistakes in crucial moments during the game.

“We played really well against Ohio State today,” said Franklin. “We had a chance to win the game. But made too many mistakes in critical moments, which you can’t do against a top-ranked opponent like this.”

Penn State turned the ball over 4 different times in the game. Sean Clifford threw 3 interceptions and fumbled the ball once.

Penn State’s losing streak against Ohio State continues. The Nittany Lions have not beaten Ohio State since 2016.

We’ll see how Penn State rebounds when it faces Indiana in Week 10.
