James Franklin asks favor of Kevin Hart for Penn State's 'White Out' vs. Ohio State
James Franklin knows Saturday night’s game between his ninth-ranked Penn State team and No. 4 Ohio State is a big one. He can say it’s just like any other game, but he knows the stakes are a little higher in this one.
The Nittany Lions head coach wants some reinforcement on the sideline this weekend. And he wants it in the form of one of the more popular comedians out there.
During his interview with Golic and Wingo, Franklin asked Kevin Hart to make an appearance in Happy Valley this weekend for the big game. Hart, a Pennsylvania native, has made major appearances at Philadelphia Eagles games and Philadelphia 76ers games over the last few years.
“Real quick, I’ve got a favor to ask,” Franklin said. “Ask Kevin Hart, who is a Pennsylvania native from Philadelphia. I’m inviting him to the ‘White Out’ or any other game that he wants to come to as my guest to be on the sidelines. Help me out there.”
Penn State doesn’t need any added motivation for Saturday’s game. The B1G title and a trip to the College Football Playoff potentially hang in the balance when the Lions battle the Buckeyes.
Still, Hart’s appearance on the sidelines might give PSU just a little added juice for Saturday night’s kickoff.
