James Franklin spoke about the injury to Landon Tengwall on Tuesday at the team’s weekly press conference. It looks like Tengwall is going to miss the rest of the season.
Tengwall suffered the injury in warmups before the Michigan game and has not played since. The injury is undisclosed and Tengwall had surgery on it already. OL Olu Fashanu is also going to miss time due to injury, but his status is week-to-week.
Starting left guard Landon Tengwall had surgery and will be out for the remainder of the year, Franklin said.
Left tackle Olu Fashanu will be more of a “week to week” situation.

Despite being out for the year, Franklin said that Tengwall’s attitude towards the situation has been great.
“Landon’s attitude has been phenomenal,” said Franklin. “It happening in pre-game, right before the game (at Michigan) that was something we needed to learn from.”

Tengwall played in three games last season as a true freshman and started five in 2022 at left guard. This will definitely be a big blow to the offensive line.
Kickoff from Beaver Stadium this week against Maryland is at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be shown on FOX.
