James Franklin and the Penn State Nittany Lions play their most important game of the season thus far Saturday.

No. 3 Penn State battles No. 4 Ohio State in a matchup that likely kicks the loser out of the running for the Big Ten Championship game. Not mathematically, but with Indiana and Oregon still undefeated it would certainly make life difficult.

Ahead of Saturday’s game, Penn State was not entirely sure star QB Drew Allar would play. The junior has been rock solid for the Nittany Lions this season but suffered a leg injury against Wisconsin that put this weekend’s status in question.

However, Franklin assured on Big Noon Kickoff that Allar will be ready to play, saying “We have a lot of confidence in him, he’s ready to go.”

Penn State has fallen to Ohio State 7 straight times, but Franklin told Big Noon Kickoff that every seasons is a new opportunity, saying “It’s not about those other years, it’s about this year.”

Kickoff is set for Noon from Happy Valley in what should be one of the most consequential games of the season.
