Penn State’s graduation for its class of 2022 happened on Friday. James Franklin made sure to give congratulations to the members of the football team who earned their degrees in a post on social media on Saturday.
Although he wasn’t pictured, Washington Commanders WR Jahan Dotson attended his graduation. His new head coach, Ron Rivera convinced him to reconsider after talking to him about the importance of celebrating this moment with his teammates. Dotson was taken with the 16th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by Washington.
The Penn State football players included in the picture are: Barney Amor, Jordan Miner, Justin Weller, Vlad Hilling, Henry Fessler, P.J. Mustipher, Rafael Checca, Jake Pinegar, and Kaleb Konigus.
Other players that weren’t pictured were: Noah Cain, Daniel George, Shaka Toney and Ben Wilson. New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley was also mentioned in that section after completing his college degree.

The 8 players from Penn State that were taken in the 2022 NFL Draft were the most from the James Franklin era. We’ll see what’s in store for the next group of upperclassmen from Happy Valley.
