James Franklin gets roasted for weekly ‘1-0’ post on social media following loss to Michigan
James Franklin made an interesting prediction about the upcoming Minnesota game before Penn State has even stepped on the field. Social media let him have it after what he said.
Franklin made a Twitter post asking fans, students, alumni and many others to get locked in for the Minnesota game in Week 8 so that the team can be 1-0 on Saturday. Minnesota beat Penn State 31-26 in their last meeting back in 2019.
Franklin made a bold claim:
“Game Week! Let’s do this TOGETHER Nittany Nation,” said Franklin. “We need EVERYONE – students, faculty, lettermen, alumni, & fans worldwide – locked in on being 1-0 against Minnesota Saturday!”
Penn State could not beat Michigan after having a bye week to prepare for the Wolverines. Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum had their way with the Nittany Lions defense, finished with a combined 300+ yards rushing.
Mohamed Ibrahim had 127 yards rushing in the loss to Illinois on Saturday. We’ll see if Penn State can have a different outcome this time around.
Here are some of the reactions on social media:
Game Week! Let’s do this TOGETHER Nittany Nation. We need EVERYONE – students, faculty, lettermen, alumni, & fans worldwide – locked in on being 1-0 against Minnesota Saturday! #WeAre

Curious how calling out the defensive line’s size is coming TOGETHER. Especially when Michigan had the ball for 42 minutes

There’s something admirable about never wavering with this weekly post, even after terrible losses……..COULDN’T BE ME. Wouldn’t see me until Saturday 😂

Let’s hope we are much better prepared for MN than we were UM after a bye week 😤😤😤

this can’t really be you tweeting. must be an intern or assistant because there’s no way you have the audacity to even be on social media the day after yesterdays debacle. i should report your account.

How about stay off the tweeter and get the team better prepared?

We need you to be a competent coach as well! You going to do that this week?

Minnesota has a heck of a run game. Let’s try to prevent an average of 7 yards per carry again…

Can you please stop this nonsense.
