The Big Ten Media Days each year allow for everybody to learn more about each team heading into the upcoming season.

Some coaches steer their talks to certain talking points, while others go a different way. One topic that Penn State coach James Franklin talked quite a bit about on Friday was the Big Ten division alignments and the nine-game in-conference regular season schedule:

Franklin talked about how he wants these points to be discussed. He may not have every single answer and solution, but things need to be talked about it.

“I just think all these things need to be discussed after the last two years of what’s happened because I think a lot of the people in this room … feel like we have an opportunity to compete with anyone, anywhere, any time,” Franklin said. “We want the opportunity to do that.”
