A White Out game at Beaver Stadium is unlike anything in college football. When the fans get fired up for those games, it can be the most hostile environment in the sport.

But James Franklin wants to see it at an entirely different level next Saturday when No. 10 Penn State hosts No. 16 Michigan in a top 25 showdown between B1G East foes. He wants fans to bring the energy to Happy Valley.

“This place needs to be rocking like it’s never rocked before,” Franklin said following Penn State’s 17-12 win over Iowa.

Next weekend’s game isn’t just a game between two B1G East powers, there are plenty of division and potential College Football Playoff implications on the line. It’s an opportunity for both teams to notch a marquee win.

ESPN’s College GameDay will also be in town for the contest, previewing the game on Saturday morning. The pregame crew was also in Happy Valley when the two teams met in 2017.

Saturday’s game between Penn State and Michigan is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff. The game will air on ABC.
