James Franklin on importance of KJ Hamler: ‘If he could get 30 catches that would be great’

KJ Hamler is a huge part of Penn State’s explosive offense, and head coach James Franklin recently discussed the importance of getting him the ball.

Hamler’s full skillset was on display in last week’s 59-0 rout against Maryland. He pulled in six catches for 108 yards and one incredible touchdown.

During his Wednesday press conference, Franklin admitted that it is one of his goals to get Hamler the ball as much as possible. He wouldn’t even mind getting Hamler about 30 catches a game because good things happen when Penn State gets the ball to its playmakers.
