While players may be entering the NCAA transfer portal left and right, coaching changes happen less often. However, it seems as though they happen more now than ever before.

That said, if a coach is happy at a place, why leave?

Indiana and Tom Allen agreed on a new seven-year deal earlier on Friday, and just a few hours later, Penn State and James Franklin have agreed upon a new contract as well:

The monetary details have not been released yet. One thing is for sure, though: Franklin believes in Penn State. He believes the best is yet to come.

And for the Nittany Lions, it’s safe to say that they are invested in Franklin for the long term. Franklin is 55-23 overall since arriving in Happy Valley in 2014. He is 41-11 since 2016.
