James Franklin points to how 'competitive' the Penn State-Pittsburgh rivalry has been after winning 17-10
Penn State began the 2019 season in a magnificent way.
The Nittany Lions scored 79 points against Idaho and 45 against Buffalo to start 2-0. In Week 3, Penn State hosted in-state rival Pittsburgh, which often results in tight games.

Following a 10-10 tie at halftime on Saturday, Penn State outscored its rival 7-0 in the second half, ensuring a 17-10 victory. The Nittany Lions are now 3-0 overall and are finished with their non-conference schedule.
