With much skepticism surrounding the Penn State program, James Franklin and his team have silenced those doubts so far.

The Nittany Lions went on the road at Jordan-Hare Stadium to pounce the Tigers 41-12 in front of an impressive turnout from their fans.

Franklin went to Twitter to recognize the Penn State faithful, posting a video of the players chanting with the crowd.

“Nittany Nation we couldn’t have done it without you. We heard you, we saw you, we appreciate you,” Franklin said in the post.

Quarterback Sean Clifford went 14-for-19 passing for 178 yards and a rushing touchdown, but the Nittany Lions saw huge production out of its freshman running backs. Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen together combined for 177 yards, finding the end zone 4 times in the process.

Penn State will face Central Michigan next week before attempting to ride its momentum into B1G action for the remainder of the season.
