James Frankin and Penn State are looking to get back on track after a loss to Ohio State in their last outing. The Nittany Lions suffered their 1st defeat of the season against the Buckeyes, falling 20-12 in Columbus.

During his weekly radio show on Thursday, Franklin was asked about Drew Allar’s backup, Beau Pribula. The redshirt freshman has played 5 times this season and has showcased his dual-threat capabilities during his time on the field.

“We had some plans to use him last week,” Franklin responded.

While Pribula didn’t play against the Buckeyes, there’s a good chance he’ll play against Indiana on Saturday. Franklin revealed that there will be some packages against the Hoosiers that will see both Allar and Pribula taking the field.

“There’s been some plans for us each week to try and get both Beau and Drew on the field at the same time — which I think can cause some conflicts and challenges,” Franklin said. “If you just put Beau on the field by himself. people defend him differently, but with those 2 guys on the field at the same time I think that can cause some issues.”

Penn State and Indiana kick off at noon ET on CBS.
