James Franklin spoke recently on the status of Keyvone Lee and had some high praise for the running back room as a whole. So far in the 2022 season, Lee has been limited or held out for the majority of the season.

Per Onward Sports:

Lee has only 25 rushing attempts on the year for 94 yards with his two biggest performances being against Purdue and Northwestern. Lee has dealt with several injuries off and on this season with a more notable one coming from the Auburn game. He was helped off the field into the tent and looked to be okay when he returned to the stationary bike but remained out of action.

The next week, he had 10 rushing attempts against Northwestern and against Michigan he was limited to only 1 carry. The issue has been listed as a “leg injury” with no further information.

Franklin knows that after the performance by Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton against Ohio State his running back room is highly effective. But he hopes to add Lee back into the rotation to add some depth for the remainder of the season.
