Jaylen Harvey is almost ready to announce his college commitment.

The 4-star EDGE will make his decision on July 4, he shared on Sunday. He’s a top target for Penn State in the class of 2024.

Here’s his announcement:

Harvey has received offers from programs such as Ohio State, Florida, USC, Texas A&M and Florida State, amongst others. The Nittany Lions initially offered Harvey a scholarship over a year ago — back in April of 2022.

Penn State is the favorite to land Harvey’s commitment, according to 247Sports Crystal Ball projections.

He’s the No. 344 overall player and the 25 EDGE in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 10 player from the state of Maryland.

Harvey attends Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds.

Penn State is off to a great start in the 2024 cycle. The Nittany Lions have earned 17 commitments already and own the nation’s No. 6-ranked class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
