Saturday afternoon marked the date of Purdue-Penn State. Many believed that the Nittany Lions would roll over the Boilermakers, who were without All-American WR Rondale Moore and their starting QB Elijah Sindelar.

And indeed, that is what happened.

Penn State took care of business, defeating Purdue 35-7. Penn State recorded 10 sacks in the win, which was one off the school record of 11.

After the 28-point defeat, Purdue coach Jeff Brohm made a pretty clear statement about the team he just lost to:

What Brohm said makes sense. As it stands, Purdue has lost to Nevada, TCU and Minnesota. And while Minnesota may still be unbeaten, Penn State is recognized as the best team among those mentioned above.

Especially when you see your QB get sacked 10 times, it’s probably hard to feel as though your team did anything well.
