Jeffrey Davis, former Penn State cornerback, announces transfer destination

Jeffrey Davis Jr. announced that he would officially be transferring to Stony Brook Thursday afternoon. The former Penn State cornerback entered the transfer portal on Dec. 5.
Davis is a former 3-star recruit in the Class of 2021 out of Kingswood-Oxford school in West Haven, Connecticut. He announced his decision via his personal Twitter account.

Davis, a redshirt freshman, played in just 1 game for the Nittany Lions this season. He did not play in any games his freshman season, earning the redshirt. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining at Stony Brook.
Davis was considered to be the No. 526 player in the Class of 2021 rankings and the No. 39 player in the cycle. He was also considered to be the No. 4 player from the state of Connecticut, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
