Jeremiyah Love dismisses Nittany Lions as ‘little cats’ after Notre Dame’s win over Penn State
Jeremiyah Love helped carry Notre Dame to victory over Penn State in the Orange Bowl, and he’s enjoying his opportunity as the victor to take a jab at the loser.
After Thursday night’s thrilling College Football Playoff semifinal, Love spoke to the media. He took an apparent shot at Penn State’s mascot when making a dogs and cats comparison.
“We went out and played like the dogs that we are. We ain’t no little dogs, we’re big dogs,” Love said after the game. “They was the little dogs today. Little cats. Whatever you want to call them.”
The winner gets to do some trash-talking, but few are dismissing Penn State for coming up short in a game that went down to the final seconds of the 4th quarter and was decided on a late field goal. Though Penn State won the rushing battle, Love was key as the Irish’s leading rusher with 11 carries for 45 yards and 1 touchdown.
We’ll see what kind of talking Love is doing after the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 20.
